You'll find that our rental rates are generally lower than elsewhere in the community.

Flexible Lease Terms

Your lease is in effect as long as you are enrolled as a UND student and registered for a minimum of six credit hours per semester. When you decide to move, just give us a written 60-day notice to terminate your lease. Hamline Square apartments have a 12 month lease.

Paid Utilities

Heat, water/sewer, and garbage collection are included in your monthly rent. Electrical charges are not included in the rent, but many residents enjoy a discounted rate in units where UND provides the electrical service. Hamline Square residents are responsible for heat and electricity.

Cable Television

Cable television and expanded basic service are also included in the monthly rent. Hamline Square residents are responsible for cable Tv charges.

Laundromats

Building laundry rooms with coin-operated washers and dryers are conveniently located throughout the housing area. Hamline Square residents have washer and dryer hook-ups in each unit (except studios) and washer/dryers on each floor.

Phone

UND phone service (and voice mail) is available for a monthly fee. Visit the Telecommunication Website for more information. Hamline Square residents are responsible for phone service.

Storage Facilities

Storage space is located in most apartments for your convenience.

Parking

A parking space with an automobile headbolt heater outlet is available for each apartment. You will still need to purchase a parking permit at the Traffic Office. This permit is also valid for other lots around campus. Limited second vehicle parking spaces are available too. The details for Hamline Square residents are still pending. One underground parking space and one outdoor space is reserved for each unit except studio.

Activities & Events

We are proud of the programming that our many hard-working, imaginative resident volunteers and staff conduct every year. Activities include social, recreational, educational, and cultural programs that have special emphasis on building friendships and promoting cultural understanding and goodwill.
